Photofest was founded in 1981 by noted collectors and authors Howard Mandelbaum (co-author of “Screen Deco” and “Forties Screen Style”), and the late Carlos Clarens. The Photofest collection contains over 2 million images and is still growing.
Photofest images have appeared in thousands of books, magazines, newspapers, documentaries, and TV shows. We also provide stills for film calendars, festival programs, exhibits, and web use. Internationally-based clients are welcome.
